What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evening Social Hour Attendant position at Good Hospitality Services?
Our hotel bar is a relaxed space serving mostly corporate guests. This role is beverage-focused only, with no food service or food preparation required, making it a great fit for bartenders who prefer a quieter, professional setting.
POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains established quality standards of Evening Social Hours, including set-up, servicing/maintenance, teardown and clean up. Assist guests in courteous and tactful manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Receives and follows shift instructions from Manager
- Greets guest with a smile and greeting
- Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
- Cooking and preparing light evening meal Monday - Thursday
- Maintains quality standards of Evening Social and kitchen throughout Social hours
- Sets up the buffet before guests begin arriving. Displays the food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner
- Surveys Buffet and restocks as needed
- Maintains inventory necessary to operate quality
- Completes teardown of Evening Buffet
- Empties trash in Social area, kitchen and great room as needed
- Washes, dries and puts away all dishes and utensils accordingly
- Keeps kitchen area neat and orderly at all times
- Sweeps and mops lobby area as needed
- Cleans public restrooms on a daily basis
- Vacuums rugs as needed
- Cleans glass entrance doors as needed
- Leaves counter tops clear and clean
- Keeps cupboards and drawers orderly and clean
- Cleans inside of refrigerator and freezer as needed
- Receives approval from supervisor prior to leaving at the end of the shift
- Maintains compliance with company policies
- Makes sure that lighting is turned on/off according to hotel policy
- Report in uniform, cleaned and pressed, with nametag every day
- Attends staff meetings as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Must follow all health regulations with food handling and alcohol service
- Must be 21
