Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides a wonderful experience for the patient.
- Advises patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis.
- Keepes abreast of new cannabis products on the market as well as the latest industry trends.
- Processes patients’ payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensures that the store is always clean and well-organized.
- Educates patients on the safe use of their selected cannabis product.
- Correctly weighs, packages, and labels cannabis products, as required.
- Checks patient’s identification documents to verify that they are of legal age and hold the necessary credentials needed to enter the dispensary and purchase product.
- Takes inventory of cannabis products and ensures that the sales floor is adequately stocked.
- Ensures that assigned opening and closing tasks are completed.
- Maintains compliance by following the proper policies and procedures set by the company and the state.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and receive a facility agent card from the state.
- Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Work well with other team members.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the retail environment.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive motions as required by the position.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Operating hours may extend from 8:00 AM to 3:00 AM, and employees must be available to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Part-Time employees may be scheduled between 14 and 28 hours per week based on business needs and availability.
