Job Summary
The QA Technician II is a skilled, independent contributor responsible for advanced quality and food safety activities. This role supports HACCP, CCP monitoring, product release, and training, and serves as a resource to QA Technician I staff.
Key Responsibilities
· Independently perform GMP audits and pre-operational inspections.
· Verify and monitor HACCP and CCP activities.
· Release finished products and approve raw materials.
· Conduct sensory evaluations and final product analysis.
· Approve labeling, ink coding, and packaging requirements.
· Oversee metal detector inspections and controls.
· Investigate non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
· Train and mentor QA Technician I staff and production employees.
· Support SQF or equivalent food safety system requirements.
· Assist R&D with new product and recipe development.
· Provide daily quality data summaries to the Quality Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
· 1–3 years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance.
· Working knowledge of HACCP and SQF or equivalent standards.
· Ability to perform inspections and make sound quality decisions independently.
· Strong documentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
Positions require significant time on the production floor in a food manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and sanitation chemicals.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
