Good Crop, (www.sofrescousa.com), a company that specializes in the production and sale of cold-pressed juices and function shots, is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician in their Ephrata, PA location.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability of juice processing and bottling equipment through the execution of preventive maintenance and corrective repairs. This role involves managing spare parts inventory, engaging with vendors for technical solutions, and managing equipment installation projects.
Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician:
1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
· Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM tasks on juice processing equipment and filling lines to prevent failures.
· Corrective Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime, including troubleshooting pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
2. Spare Parts Inventory Management - Maintain and control the spare parts inventory. Monitor part usage and initiate purchase orders for replenishment of tools and materials.
3. Project Management & New Installation
· Technical Support: Engage with equipment suppliers to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective solutions and / or equipment improvements.
· Installation: Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of new processing and filling equipment
Requirements for the Maintenance Technician:
* Three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a beverage, food, or high-speed packaging environment
* Available for on-call emergency response 24/5/365.
*Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs., climb ladders and crawl as needed.
*Ability to evaluate and utilize independent judgment on complex issues.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently and to work well with a variety of people and deal with situations diplomatically.
*Experience in oversight of comprehensive preventative maintenance programs.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
