Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Insulation Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installation processes across various construction disciplines, including insulation, carpentry, and finishing work. This role involves working on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality insulation installation that meets safety and building standards. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of construction schematics, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems to effectively contribute to our projects' success.
Responsibilities
- Install various types of insulation materials in walls, ceilings, attics, and crawl spaces according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes.
- Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine insulation placement and specifications.
- Assist with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, metal stud framing, and drywall finishing as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC, roofing, masonry, and carpentry teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on the construction site.
- Measure spaces accurately to ensure proper fit of insulation materials and related components.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of insulation installation techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment used in construction environments.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively.
- Knowledge of related trades such as plastering, framing (metal stud and wood), roofing, stucco application, HVAC systems, masonry, and concrete finishing is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge or fabrication skills are advantageous for understanding system integration.
- Experience with construction estimating or carpentry (including trim carpentry) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
