Gonzalez Block LLC is looking for an experienced Masonry Worker / Block Layer to join our crew. We are looking for someone reliable, skilled, and ready to do quality masonry work the right way.
Responsibilities:
- Lay block, brick, and stone according to project plans and measurements
- Understand basic masonry dimensions, layout, spacing, and leveling
- Mix, spread, and work with mortar properly
- Strike and finish joints cleanly and professionally
- Read tape measurements and follow layout lines accurately
- Help with block walls, retaining walls, foundations, footings, and related masonry projects
- Place and tie rebar when needed
- Assist with job site prep, cleanup, and material handling
- Follow safety practices and work well with the crew
- Maintain high-quality craftsmanship on every job
Requirements
- Masonry or block laying experience preferred
- Ability to understand measurements, dimensions, and layout
- Knowledge of striking joints and finishing masonry work
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors
- Must be dependable, on time, and ready to work
