Electrical Preconstruction Coordinator Responsibilities
- Review contract drawings and design documents for scope alignment.
- Evaluate other contractors’ drawings, design documents, and shop drawings for coordination.
- Review and interpret project specifications.
- Review internal material submittals and evaluate external contractors’ material submittals.
- Prepare 2D layouts for BIM modeling and site use.
- Support design coordination and resolve conflicts through proactive communication.
- Prepare and track RFIs related to the engineering scope.
- Monitor and track overall design and technical aspects of assigned projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in electrical construction, design, or engineering support (internships/co-op experience considered).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction documents and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
