What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Clinical Therapist - Golf Wellness Specialist position at GolfRx?
GolfRx is revolutionizing mental health by blending therapeutic golf activities with evidence-based clinical treatment. Our program was designed by our founding PhD therapist and delivered primarily through a structured self-study curriculum that integrates movement, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral tools.
We partner with licensed therapists across the U.S. to provide the clinical oversight needed for members to use GolfRx as part of their mental health treatment plan. This means you won’t carry a large therapy caseload — instead, your role is to ensure that GolfRx is clinically appropriate, document medical necessity, and support members through structured assessments and annual reviews.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct one-hour initial assessments for new members to determine eligibility
- Complete annual reviews of client progress and eligibility.
- Provide individual therapy sessions as requested (not a primary caseload).
- Utilize GolfRx clinical protocols to guide assessments and treatment while maintaining clinical autonomy.
- Participate in optional monthly clinical check-ins and access peer support resources.
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted license as an LMFT, LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent in your state
- Minimum of 1 year post-licensure clinical experience (telehealth experience a plus)
- Ability to complete clinical notes compliant with insurance and Medicaid/Medicare standards
- Passion for innovative approaches to mental health — interest in golf is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable working independently with flexible scheduling
Compensation: $70/hr
