JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the GTS Executive Director, you'll be responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of the GTS Events Division while ensuring outstanding experiences for all stakeholders.
GTS owns and/or operates several events annually, most notably the world's largest amateur golf tournament, the Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur Championship.
Other events include but are not limited to: Bryan Bros Shootout Hosted by Play Golf Myrtle Beach, Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship, Passport Member Guest, Keiser University Palmetto Golf Championships, Play Golf Myrtle Beach Veterans Classic, Brittain Resorts Classic, Style Driver Girls Palmetto Tournament of Champions, and the Style Driver Fall Classic.
Qualifications:
- A passion for hospitality, entertainment, golf, and golf lifestyle culture.
- A passion for events and experiences, ranging from large-scale custom to small-scale turnkey.
- A deep understanding of golf tournament planning, operations, rules, and competition.
- Truly believe that no job is too small or too big.

- 5 years in a related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Proficient with tournament management and event registration software platforms.
- Occasionally work outside in weather conditions.
- Occasionally work weekends and extended hours during event execution.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise the day to day operations of the Events Division.
- Manage or cause to be managed on-site event and tournament operations for all events.
- Recruit and lead a team of full time and part time staff, interns, contract labor, volunteers, and vendors.
- Procure host site golf courses and manage host site relationships.
- Develop and manage the annual event schedule.
- Create and implement event marketing and promotional strategies.
- Lead all event related revenue generation activities.
- Lead event related commercial partner procurement and relationship management.
- Collaborate with marketing, technology, research, and finance to advance event division operations, goals, and objectives.
- Create and manage all event budgets.
- Act as point person to the GTS Board of Directors, Membership, and Events Committee.
- Act as spokesperson for the events division with all external stakeholders.
