ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and lead the facility-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
Monitor and analyze process and outcome measures to assess the effectiveness and sustainability of infection prevention efforts.
Stay current on infection prevention and control regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring compliance.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of staging system of wounds.
Develops skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown.
Demonstrates knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage patients with draining wounds, fistulae and/or tubes, wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence.
Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness.
Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services with nursing scope of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Illinois State license(s) related to healthcare (e.g., RN, LPN, or LVN, depending on state requirements).
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is a must. (Goldwater Care will pay for IP Certification if not already certified)
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Reliable transportation.
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination or exemption.
One year of experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.
