About the Practice

Goldman Dermatology of Miami is a brand new, privately owned dermatology practice founded by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Chloe Goldman. We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our team.

About the Position

We are looking for a dependable, patient-focused PSR who is comfortable working in a fast-paced dermatology environment and can contribute immediately.

Compensation

Competitive compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience, with the anticipated range of $20-22 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Patient Services

• Schedule appointments and set visit expectations
• Inform patients of office policies
• Handle check-in and check-out processes
• Manage purchases and educate patients on services and products
• Answer phone calls and manage incoming leads
• Credential providers and verify insurance
• Manage patient quotes, payments, and communications
• Maintain high standards of customer service

Billing

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical billing practices
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, seamless insurance verification, and a smooth financial experience for patients
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to manage all aspects of billing, from insurance verification to claim resolution
• Uphold a strong commitment to patient service

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years experience in private-practice dermatology or related specialty, with a strong background in a cosmetic clinical setting, is highly preferred.
• Background in luxury hospitality or high end customer service environment (IE Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons) is highly valued.
• Proficiency in dermatology and cosmetic medicine terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with EMR systems (Nextech highly preferred)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.

What we offer:

• $20–$23 depending on experience
• Full-time position
• Monday–Thursday workweek; occasional Fridays/Saturdays
• Dermatology experience is preferred. Candidates with Patient Services experience in plastic surgery, surgical practices, medical spas, or other specialty-care settings are also encouraged to apply.
• Spanish/English-Speaking preferred.
• EMR experience (Nextech or EMA Modernizing Medicine) highly preferred;.
