About the Practice
Goldman Dermatology of Miami is a brand new, privately owned dermatology practice founded by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Chloe Goldman. We are seeking three experienced Medical Assistants to join our clinical team.
About the Position
We are looking for dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistants who are comfortable working in a fast-paced dermatology environment and can contribute immediately.
Compensation
Competitive compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience, with the anticipated range of $20-23 per hour.
Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Room and prepare patients for dermatology examinations and procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
- Assist physicians with dermatology procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Assist with biopsies, wound care, cryotherapy, and other office procedures as appropriate
- Handle specimens and pathology-related processes
- Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions
- Assist with documentation and clinical workflow
- Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and the clinical team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Suppport patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer phone calls and other patient correspondence in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous Medical Assistant experience required
- Dermatology experience strongly preferred
- Experience with dermatology procedures is a strong plus
- Experience with Nextech is preferred, but not required
- Experience with other dermatology EMR systems is welcome
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Professional, dependable, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues in both English and Spanish is highly preferred.
What we offer:
- $20–$23 depending on experience
- Full-time position
- Monday–Thursday workweek; occasional Fridays/Saturdays
- Dermatology experience is preferred. Candidates with Medical Assistant experience in plastic surgery, surgical practices, medical spas, or other specialty-care settings are also encouraged to apply.
- Spanish/English-Speaking preferred.
- EMR experience required; Nextech or EMA Modernizing Medicine preferred.
