The Opportunity

• Title: Litigation Associate (Public Law)

• Salary: 140,000–190,000 USD (DOE)

• Location: California (Remote / Hybrid; must be willing to relocate to CA)

• Level: 3–8 years’ litigation experience

What You’ll Do

• Support partners and senior attorneys across all phases of civil litigation: case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial prep.

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality memoranda on key legal issues.

• Manage deadlines and ensure procedural compliance.

• Engage directly with clients and witnesses, including interviews, prep, depositions, and mediations.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–8 years of litigation experience with a clear focus on public law.

• Experience from a City Attorney’s office or a firm handling public law work is essential.

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; minimum 3.0 GPA if under 5 years’ practice.

• Active California State Bar membership.

• Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills, plus enthusiasm for public law and a collegial, fast-paced environment.
