Construction Payroll Specialist

Goldenrod Companies is seeking an experienced Construction Payroll Specialist to join our Omaha office. This position is responsible for managing weekly payroll operations for self-performing construction companies, including certified payroll reporting, prevailing wage compliance, employee onboarding, and workforce record management.
Construction payroll experience is required. This is not a traditional corporate payroll position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing payroll for field employees, managing certified payroll reporting, and supporting compliance requirements within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for self-performing construction crews
- Manage payroll administration from employee onboarding through final payment
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon requirements
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now and MobiClocks to manage payroll and timekeeping
- Maintain employee records and payroll data accuracy
- Administer E-Verify for new hires
- Support OSHA recordkeeping and compliance reporting
- Serve as the primary payroll contact for field employees and project teams
Required Qualifications
β οΈ Construction payroll experience is required.
- 3 years of payroll experience within the construction industry
- Experience processing payroll for hourly craft labor and field employees
- Experience preparing certified payroll reports
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage weekly payroll deadlines
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with MobiClocks or similar construction timekeeping software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
