What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relief Cook position at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare?
The relief cook performs duties of the retail cook, patient room service cook and cold cook. The position performs necessary tasks to provide quality food, service, and nutritional care for our patients and customers at a 'D-10' level. Experience with cooking (retail, catering, or patient), hospitality (tray delivery, host/hostess, server, and phone center) and nutrition (special diets) desired. Individual must be dependable, a team player and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor at all times. Must be able to multitask and meet various time deadlines throughout day. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary working environment. Position requires attention to detail while following recipes, preparing tickets, portion control, cash handling, general cleaning/sanitation, department standards and meal delivery. May cook/serve meals for patients, café customers, or catering/special functions. Must be able to operate a variety of food service equipment and be able/willing to be cross-trained to work in various food service positions for all hours of operation, which covers shifts from 5:45am-7:00pm.
License/Certifications:
Henry County Food Handler card required.
