Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bakersfield, CA. The Environmental Compliance Technician will be responsible for monitoring and detecting air quality issues, performing leak detection and repair (LDAR), and working to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. This includes conducting regular site inspections, preparing compliance reports, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with teams to identify and resolve issues. The technician will serve an essential role in helping maintain operational efficiency while adhering to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring such as Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) and air quality testing techniques.
- Ability to interpret and apply local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance.
- Strong technical skills related to report drafting, record-keeping, and using environmental management software.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with teams and training staff.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of conducting thorough site assessments and compliance audits.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., LDAR Technician Certification, HAZWOPER) are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field is preferred but not required with commensurate experience.
- Previous experience in environmental compliance or air quality control is an advantage.
