Golden Valley Charter School, a Waldorf-inspired public charter school located in Orangevale, California, anticipates 1–2 openings for Middle School Teachers (Grades 6–8). We are seeking passionate, creative educators who are committed to supporting students during the important developmental years of middle school while fostering curiosity, creativity, and academic growth. Teachers at Golden Valley Charter School integrate strong academic instruction with artistic, experiential, and hands-on learning. The Middle School Teacher will provide engaging instruction in core academic subjects while supporting students’ social-emotional development and encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and a love of learning.

Golden Valley Charter School follows a Waldorf-inspired educational approach, which emphasizes educating the whole child—intellectually, artistically, socially, and emotionally. Instruction blends rigorous academics with arts integration, movement, storytelling, hands-on projects, and nature-based learning. This approach supports creativity, imagination, and meaningful connections to learning while building strong academic foundations. As a Public Waldorf School we do not require a Waldorf Teaching Certificate but do want our candidates to have knowledge of and a respect for the Pedagogy. We do ask that our teachers work towards obtaining the Waldorf Teaching Certificate and our Educational Foundation helps cover the cost for Teachers in the training program.
