Golden Valley Charter Schools is seeking a passionate and creative Foreign Language & Multicultural Teacher who believes language learning should be joyful, immersive, artistic, and deeply connected to culture and human experience. As a Waldorf-inspired public charter school, we view foreign language education as more than vocabulary and grammar—it is an opportunity to awaken curiosity, cultural appreciation, confidence, and meaningful human connection. Through storytelling, music, movement, poetry, games, visual arts, and conversation, our students experience language as a living and expressive part of the world around them. We are looking for an educator who can bring warmth, imagination, and enthusiasm into the classroom while creating developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students in a collaborative school community that values creativity, inclusion, and the whole child. Primary Responsibilities: -Developing and implementing engaging foreign language lessons aligned with school curriculum and Waldorf-inspired practices -Creating immersive language experiences using songs, poetry, games, dialogue, storytelling, puppetry, movement, and visual supports -Teaching students about language through authentic cultural experiences and global awareness -Differentiating instruction to support a wide range of learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans -Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment -Participating in school assemblies, festivals, performances, and community events -Collaborating closely with faculty, administration, and families to support student success Skills & Qualifications: -Valid California Single Subject Foreign Language Credential -Fluency in the target language -Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students -Knowledge of or interest in Waldorf-inspired education preferred -Strong classroom management and communication skills -Passion for multicultural

Golden Valley Charter Schools is building a teacher pool for the 2026–2027 school year. We are seeking passionate, student-centered educators interested in joining our K–8 programs. As a Public Waldorf School, we do not require a Waldorf Teaching Certificate but do want our candidates to have knowledge of and a respect for the Pedagogy. We do ask that our teachers work towards obtaining the Waldorf Teaching Certificate and our Educational Foundation helps cover the cost for Teachers in the training program. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Single Subject Teaching Credential in World Languages.
