Golden Valley Charter Schools is seeking a passionate and student-centered Fine Arts Teacher to join our Waldorf-inspired learning community. We are looking for an educator who believes the arts are essential to child development and who is excited to nurture creativity, confidence, and artistic expression through meaningful hands-on experiences. At Golden Valley, the arts are woven into daily learning through drawing, painting, sculpture, storytelling, movement, and seasonal celebrations. Our approach inspires wonder, creativity, and imagination while supporting the developmental needs of the whole child. The Fine Arts Teacher will work with students in grades 1–8 to create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster artistic skill, self-expression, cultural appreciation, and joy in learning. Primary Responsibilities: -Developing and implementing inspiring fine arts lessons aligned with school curriculum and Waldorf-inspired practices -Creating a warm, inclusive, and creative classroom environment where all students feel successful and encouraged -Integrating artistic processes that support imagination, creativity, and hands-on learning -Teaching proper care and respectful use of art materials and tools -Differentiating instruction to support students with a variety of learning styles and needs -Participating in school festivals, assemblies, and community events that celebrate student learning and artistic expression -Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, staff, and families to support the whole child Skills & Qualifications: -Valid California Teaching Credential appropriate for Fine Arts instruction -Background and professional training in visual or fine arts -Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students -Knowledge of or interest in Waldorf education preferred -Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills -Passion for arts education, creativity, and child-centered learning

Golden Valley Charter Schools is building a teacher pool for the 2026–2027 school year. We are seeking passionate, student-centered educators interested in joining our K–8 programs. As a Public Waldorf School, we do not require a Waldorf Teaching Certificate but do want our candidates to have knowledge of and a respect for the Pedagogy. We do ask that our teachers work towards obtaining the Waldorf Teaching Certificate and our Educational Foundation helps cover the cost for Teachers in the training program. Qualified candidates must hold a valid California teacher's credential required to teach Fine Arts.
