JOB SUMMARY: Oversees and provides direction for the production supervisors and lead persons concerning the day-to-day activities of beef processing operations in order to meet GSF objectives and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
Oversee the day-to-day floor operations for up to 50 subordinates, the accuracy of inventories, production scheduling, safety, efficiency, and analysis needed to maintain the operations at a high level of efficiency, productivity and quality.
PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES
Education/Certification
AA degree in food science or business administration from an accredited vocational, technical or junior college institution
Experience
3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment with lead or supervisory experience

JOB SUMMARY: Oversees and provides direction for the production supervisors and lead persons concerning the day-to-day activities of beef processing operations in order to meet GSF objectives and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates and monitors day-to-day beef processing/cooked operations, analyzing operations, taking corrective action, providing constructive feedback and monitoring cost and expenses, to achieve meat division and GSF productivity and quality objectives and to ensure compliance with GSF and regulatory agency regulations. (50%)
- Supervises the daily activities of production supervisors, providing instruction, training and performance feedback to ensure production efficiency and quality objectives are met or exceeded. (10%)
- Identify and resolve process operational issues, facilitate equipment problems, maintain quality, productivity and safety utilizing available resources (QA/Sanitation/Maintenance Supervisors) (10%)
- Enforce safety standards and quality procedures to ensure that department and GSF safety rules and quality specifications are adhered to. (10%)
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and productivity by developing new ideas, process improvement, and planning for upcoming equipment or process changes. (10%)
- Routinely informs and communicates with all meat department resources (Director/Manager/QA/ Sanitation/Maintenance) to promote smooth operations, enhance their understanding of GSF policies and objectives, and to ensure compliance with established production policies and procedures. (10%)
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
