Golden Platter Foods is seeking an experienced Sanitation Technician to join our production team at our frozen food manufacturing facility in Linden, NJ.
Please Note: This is NOT a housekeeping or janitorial position. This role involves the industrial cleaning and sanitation of food production equipment and machinery using specialized cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize food manufacturing equipment, including:
- Ovens
- Breading machines
- Choppers
- Conveyors
- Mixers and other processing equipment
- Safely handle and use industrial cleaning chemicals according to company procedures.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for proper cleaning.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, USDA, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and production-ready before the next shift.
- Wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial sanitation within a food manufacturing or food processing environment is required.
- Experience working with industrial cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Comfortable working around production machinery and in cold manufacturing environments.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work overtime and weekends when needed.
