The Gas N Roll Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing sales transactions and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment. Cashiers serve as the first point of contact for guests and are expected to represent the Company in a professional, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately process cash, credit card, debit card, and other payment transactions.
• Balance cash drawer and complete shift reconciliation procedures.
• Sell fuel, convenience store merchandise, tobacco products, lottery tickets, and other authorized items in accordance with company policy and state regulations.
• Verify identification for age-restricted purchases.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, pricing, and store offerings.
• Stock coolers, shelves, displays, and merchandise as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or product needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, beverage stations, fuel islands, and other store areas.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and priced.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries.
• Monitor store activity and report suspicious behavior, theft, safety concerns, or policy violations to management.
• Follow all company cash-handling, loss prevention, safety, and security procedures.
• Complete required shift reports and documentation accurately.
• Perform opening, closing, and shift change procedures.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation, if applicable.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or convenience store experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licenses or certifications required by local or state law.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Convenience store and fuel station environment.
• Frequent interaction with customers and team members.
• May be required to work alone during certain shifts.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions while inspecting fuel islands and exterior store areas.
  
  

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
