This entry-level position earns $19.00 - $25.00/hour based on qualifications and experience. YOUR DAY
As an Agronomy Laborer - Equipment Operator, you're out in the farm fields, completing quality work that protects crops and helps them grow. Your main focus is on operating application equipment and other machinery, making sure to always be safe while working. You closely follow your manager's directions to ensure total accuracy. When you're not operating machinery, you're either performing basic equipment maintenance or general labor in the fields.
YOUR HOURS
You normally work Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Extended hours and weekends may be required during the peak season.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with the ability to operate equipment
- Ability to follow labels when blending fertilizer and crop protection products
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and maneuver equipment with computer-assisted operations
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and completing routine machinery maintenance
- Eagerness to learn more and grow within the trade
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
A custom applicator's license or CDL would be preferred but isn't required. We will train you!
