Job Summary
Golda Och Academy is seeking a reliable and motivated entry-level Custodian to support the cleanliness, safety, and daily operations of our campus. This role reports to the Director of Facilities and plays a key role in maintaining a welcoming, well-maintained environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and recycling, and properly dispose of waste
- Replenish restroom and custodial supplies
- Assist with room setup and breakdown for school events
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Director of Facilities
- Safely use custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Follow all school policies and safety procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Physical and ADA Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Bend, kneel, stoop, and reach as needed
- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications:
- Prior custodial experience in a school enviornment is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Successful completion of background checks required
Work Environment:
This position is based in a school environment and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures. Occasional weekend hours may be required for special events or projects.
