Gold Ranch Casino in Dayton, Nevada is looking for a Count/Drop Team Member!
The Count and Drop Team Associate will be part of a team responsible for the accurate collection, counting, and recording of all cash from the casino floor at the assigned Northern Nevada Truckee Gaming properties.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous high volume cash handling experience is required. Previous casino cage experience preferred. Associate must possess excellent math skills and accuracy. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as part of a team. Excellent English communication skills required. Must have basic Microsoft Office experience. Completion of high school, GED, or equivalent preferred (required). Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collects and counts revenue from various drop sources per the Gaming Control Board and property guidelines.
- Counts, sorts, and organizes all currency, vouchers, and paperwork from the drop containers.
- Retrieves drop boxes from storage area, distributes boxes around the casino, drops the filled boxes and replaces with empty ones.
- Loads currency counter equipment utilizing the counter interface and collects, sorts, and reconciles counted funds.
- Total all cash, vouchers, and reconciling documents.
- Straps and hand stamps currency bundles.
- Secure the Count Room and ensure the keys are properly checked out and back in.
- Monitor and maintain all equipment that is used by the count/drop team.
- Ability to perform limited repairs of count room equipment as needed.
- Observe safety policies and procedures including but not limited to safe lifting, use of ear plugs, and only using equipment when it is in proper working condition.
- Must have the ability to work in a high-pressure fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to multitask.
- Familiar with the use of a ten key calculator and other standard office equipment.
Work Environment and ADA Requirements:
- Must have the ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to lift drop boxes up to standard counter height.
- Must have the mobility to easily move about the casino area and be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be comfortable working in a small, confined space with the same people for entire shift.
- Can reach, grasp, bend, squat, and push/pull heavy carts.
- Must be comfortable working in a noisy, smoky casino environment that may be hot and dirty.
