What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drop / Count Team Member position at Carson Nugget?
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, collects coin and currency from slot machines, on the casino floor and transports it back to the count room; counts and records contents of slot drop boxes, coin buckets, table game and poker room drop boxes; and performs other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (This class specification may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties that may be performed.)
Collect coin and currency by removing same from slot machines and placing it into the drop content storage cart, then transporting cart to the vault in order to count the contents.
Count currency and coin collected from slot machines, table games and poker room by using currency counters, coin counters and wrappers, or manual count by following procedures outlined in MICS in order to provide an accurate valuation of monies taken during by the casino during gaming operations
Perform preventative maintenance on count equipment by following manufacturer's recommendations on a daily basis to ensure that equipment is operational at all times, enhancing the efficiency of the count operation.
Education and Experience:
Previous full-time experience in a position handling cash on a regular basis and previous experience in a position with regular direct public contact. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must be able to obtain a gaming license in the State of Nevada.
