We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team in Butte. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Physical Therapy techniques and a passion for patient care. This role involves assisting licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, providing hands-on therapy, and supporting patients the outpatient setting.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities to promote recovery and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately within medical records.
- Support discharge planning by educating patients on exercises and self-care strategies to maintain progress post-treatment.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with Physical Therapy techniques and industry best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in trigger point therapy, Physical Therapy techniques, and modalities for pain relief and mobility enhancement.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to Physical Therapy.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients recovering from acute or chronic conditions.
- Familiarity with care planning, discharge procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs within various clinical environments.
Prior clinic experience in outpatient physical therapy is highly desirable.
