Position Summary
The Construction Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks in support of construction, remodeling, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. This position assists with site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, demolition, concrete work, carpentry, and general construction activities. The Construction Laborer helps ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist with construction, remodeling, repair, and maintenance projects.
· Perform site preparation including grading, excavation, trenching, and cleanup.
· Load, unload, transport, and organize construction materials and equipment.
· Assist with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.
· Assist carpenters, equipment operators, welders, electricians, plumbers, and other trades as needed.
· Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
· Install fencing, gates, posts, buildings, foundations, and other farm infrastructure.
· Assist with framing, roofing, siding, insulation, and finish work.
· Perform demolition and removal of old structures and materials.
· Maintain a clean and organized job site.
· Identify and report safety hazards and equipment concerns.
· Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
· Assist with snow removal, facility maintenance, and other seasonal projects as assigned.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
· Ability to perform physically demanding labor.
· Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous construction experience.
· Experience operating skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, excavators, or loaders.
· Experience with concrete, carpentry, fencing, or welding.
· OSHA safety training.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Basic understanding of construction practices and job site safety.
· Ability to read and follow instructions and plans.
· Ability to safely use hand tools and power equipment.
· Strong problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions
· Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Exposure to dust, mud, noise, machinery, and construction materials.
· Frequent lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
· Overtime, weekend, and seasonal work may be required.
· Travel between job sites may be required.
Physical Requirements
· Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
· Team lift or use mechanical assistance for heavier materials.
· Walk on uneven terrain.
· Climb ladders, scaffolding, and construction equipment.
· Bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
· Work safely around moving equipment and machinery.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
