JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE:
Marination Personnel
SAFETY DUTIES:
Wear proper personal protective equipment such as earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses and smock. Keep your hands away from moving parts. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep assigned area clean and organized. Report any accidents, unsafe equipment or area to the line leader or supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MARINATION PERSONNEL:
The employee is tasked with loading blenders, tumblers, and mixers with chicken, as well as both dry and wet seasonings. Employees rotate through various workstations, including mixing, bagging, and sealing equipment. They will place fresh raw product boxes onto tables and conveyors, and load boxes and cases into vats. The employee is responsible for pushing both full and empty vats, operating equipment, and thoroughly cleaning the equipment and work area after use. Additionally, the employee may be assigned other tasks and duties as required by the department.
Responsible for helping to produce safe, legal, and authentic products to the quality expectations of the customer. Supports, implements, and helps maintain and improve all Quality Management programs and procedures. Responsible for implementation, improvement, and enforcement of all programs and procedures related to BRC.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Employee will clock in and gather their supplies at the supply room when they arrive at the facility. Employee will sanitize hands before putting gloves on and after reporting to the work area. Employee will receive instructions from the line leader or supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee will stand/walk 100% of the time. Must be able to lift up to 20-40 lb. Reaching, bending and twisting 100% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all times.
ENVIRONMENT:
Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40° to 50° degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. The work area surface is wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.
EDUCATION: Minimum education required. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor.
