Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
- Work on construction sites or renovation projects involving high voltage and low voltage systems while adhering to safety protocols outlined by the NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate framing carpentry and other related tasks necessary for electrical installations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety guidelines related to electrical work to prevent accidents or hazards on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and low/high voltage systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of NEC standards and safety regulations related to high voltage and low voltage wiring.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
