Position Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Tech Operator to join our production team. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and performing routine maintenance checks on production equipment to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. The right candidate can learn quickly, retain processes, and apply what they’ve been taught without needing repeated instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance inspections
- Monitor production flow and maintain productivity standards
- Maintain production run rates and control scrap rates
- Adjust machine settings as needed to improve performance and efficiency
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate production records, including approved and defective units
- Complete activity logs and production documentation accurately and on time
- Follow all safety procedures and GCI company policies at all times
- Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and legible
- Perform repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Previous factory or production experience preferred
- Experience with Fanuc Robotics is a plus
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment checks
- Familiarity with high-speed production machinery and measuring tools
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)
- Legible handwriting required

Schedule:
- 10–12 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday (Occasional Fridays as needed)
- Day Shift 5:45am/7:30am-6pm
- Overtime as needed
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
