Duties
- Greet guests with an extremely friendly, motivated positive attitude and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Yelp guest manager
- Communicate wait times clearly and accurately to guests via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing information about menu items or restaurant policies as needed
- Support guest services by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest experiences
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Yelp guest manager
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus, demonstrating versatility in guest relations and service excellence
- Knowledge of food service operations, serving etiquette, and phone etiquette is beneficial
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Prior experience with guest services or guest relations roles enhances your ability to connect authentically with visitors
