Duties

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Assist with food handling tasks including portioning, plating, and maintaining proper food safety practices throughout all stages of service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, mixers, dishwashers, and POS (Point of Sale) systems for processing cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and dining areas in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Support catering and banquet events by setting up tables, serving guests in person, and managing food distribution smoothly.
• Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Handle weight-based tasks such as portion control and inventory management with accuracy and care.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements

• Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is preferred; experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices within the food industry or hospitality sector.
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure health standards are met.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while adhering to manual handling guidelines.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions, measuring ingredients, and managing inventory accurately.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on in-person engagement and positive guest interactions.
• Experience with POS systems for processing payments efficiently during service hours.
• Ability to handle weight-related tasks such as lifting trays or boxes of supplies safely.
• Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous; dietary aide experience is also valued.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wine service or wine knowledge can enhance guest experiences in fine dining settings.
