Job Title: Food Service Associate
Department: Food Services
Reporting Relationship: Food Service Manager
Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt/Hourly
Starting Wage: $14.00 per hour, Commissions, Insurance benefits, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401-K w/ match and a bonus program.
Summary of Duties: The employee will be responsible for operating a cash register while strictly adhering to Gatorlands Cash Handling Policy. The employee will also be responsible for the neatness of their designated areas while promoting great customer service and our companys mission statement of providing fun, smiles and special memories to all of our guests.
Primary Duties:
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. when necessary
- Provide good customer service
- Operate cash register
- Accuracy in cash handling
- Maintain neatness of area
- Able to be cross-trained in at Pearls, Snack Bar, Sweet Tooth's Sweet Shop, and Carts.
- Operate beverage machines
- Operate fryers, ovens and/or warmers for food preparation
- Prepare salads and sandwiches
- Take food orders from guests
- Operate cash registers for cash and credit card transactions
- Clean and maintain work area
- Receive and stock food and paper supplies
- Wash dishes
- Dispose of trash
- Performs other duties as requested
Education, experience and specialized skills and knowledge requirements:
Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to walk long distances. Must be able to communicate well with others. Must be available for all shifts with no restrictions during the busy holidays, summer and weekends.
