Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician I
Second Shift & Third Shift | Lebanon, PA
Schedule
Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays as needed
Second Shift: 3:30 PM to production end (typically 1:30 AM)
Third Shift: 8pm-6am
Hours may vary; flexibility required.

Position Summary
The FSQA Technician I supports food safety and quality compliance for HACCP, SQF, and company programs. This role works directly in a cold production environment surrounded by raw and cooked meats. Applicants must have previous food manufacturing experience, ideally in meat or poultry processing, trimming, packing, or inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Daily food safety and quality monitoring, including:
- Product audits, product control checks, and defect inspections
- Temperature monitoring of products, rooms, cooking, and chilling
- CCP verification for cooking and chilling processes
- Pre-shipment reviews
- Microbiological and environmental swabbing
- Pest control observations
Documentation and compliance:
- Review HACCP, SQF, and other records for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor SOP compliance and assist with corrective investigations
- Observe and document employee GMP compliance
- Communicate clearly and professionally across departments
Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Experience/Skills (Required)
- Previous food manufacturing experience is required
- Preference given to applicants with meat, poultry, or raw product processing experience (e.g., trimming, packing, inspection, cooking, chilling, or sanitation)
- Basic knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, or QA processes preferred
- Ability to use computers for spreadsheets, data entry, and reports (Microsoft Access a plus)
