Godfrey Brake Service & Supply was started in 1955 by Ray Godfrey. Our first building was downtown on Omaha St until June 1972 when a flood severely damaged our shop. In 1974, Ray decided to rebuild the shop in our current location on Poplar Ave.
All three of Ray's sons have worked at Godfrey Brake. The present owners are the youngest brothers, Bob and Dan Godfrey. While our small family business has grown to employ close to 30 people, we still try to keep the small town, family-owned feel when we help and interact with our customers. We consider them, along with our employees, as part of our extended family.
We specialize in heavy duty truck parts and service. We stock most major brands and carry a wide variety of parts. Our shop works on drivelines, transmissions, stretches frames, and we install flatbeds, van bodies, and more. We stand 100% behind our parts and service.
Locally, we support many different organizations like 4H, youth sports teams, less fortunate families, rodeos, beef sales, and many more. We enjoy giving back to the people in our community.

We are growing and looking for a great Diesel Mechanic who can troubleshoot and repair trucks and trailers.
Duties include suspension,brake,drive train,frame,hydraulics,electrical,and fabrication.
Applicant must have own tools and be capable of lifting heavy items.
Applicant must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record and live in or be willing to relocate to the Rapid City SD Area.
