Purpose of Job:
The Senior Assets Manager supports the Director of Facilities Management and Operations by coordinating and executing statewide assets, fleet, compliance, and operational activities. This role provides senior level oversight of day to day operations, ensures regulatory and environmental compliance, supports budget monitoring and reporting, and leads cross functional coordination to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant physical assets across the organization. The position plays a key role in translating strategic direction into effective operational execution while escalating risks and recommendations to the Director as appropriate

Primary Responsibilities:
Senior Facilities & Operations Support

Serve as a senior operational partner supporting the Director of Facilities Management and Operations in the planning, coordination, and execution of statewide facilities and operations initiatives.

Provide day to day leadership and supervision of Facilities Technicians, including work prioritization, training support, safety compliance, and performance feedback.
-
Assist with statewide facilities planning by coordinating team participation, tracking progress, and supporting implementation of approved operational strategies.
-
Provide regional operational support across GOAL locations, addressing complex maintenance, compliance, and infrastructure needs as assigned.
Budget & Financial Coordination

Collaborate with the Director in facilities and operations of budget development, monitoring, and control activities.

Track operational expenditures, assist with variance analysis, and support cost containment and efficiency initiatives.

Support financial forecasting, capital planning input, and documentation related to facilities, assets, and fleet operations.
Facilities Compliance & Environmental Safety

Coordinate and perform asbestos and radon inspections as required by site and regulation.

Maintain site-based management plans and active management planner certification.
-
Monitor compliance requirements, inspection schedules, and renewal deadlines, escalating risks or concerns to the Director as appropriate.

Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and corrective action documentation.
Asset & Inventory Management
-
Coordinate the day to day tracking and lifecycle management of furniture, equipment, and capital assets.

Maintain accurate asset records and support inventory controls and loss prevention efforts.

Coordinate asset moves, installations, replacements, and disposals in alignment with operational needs and approved budgets.

Prepare asset documentation and audit support materials for leadership review.
Fleet & Transportation Logistics

Coordinate fleet maintenance schedules, inspections, repairs, and warranty tracking.

Maintain vehicle compliance records and support fleet utilization tracking.

Manage vehicle reservation and usage systems.

Track driver certifications and required documentation.
-
Prepare fleet related reports and compliance documentation for Director and senior leadership review.
Reporting, Documentation & Operational Support

Compile operational, facilities, assets, and fleet reports to support leadership decision-making.

Maintain organized operational records and compliance documentation.
-
Track compliance deadlines and required renewals, providing advance notice and recommendations to the Director.

Support annual audits and leadership reviews with accurate data and documentation.
Cross Functional Coordination

Coordinate with Facilities, Finance, and Safety & Security teams on asset, compliance, and operational initiatives.

Support emergency response and logistics needs, including coordination of equipment, vendors, and required documentation.

Serve as a senior operational contact for issue resolution, escalation, and follow through.
Additional Responsibilities

Complete reporting and special projects assigned by the Director of Facilities Management and Operations or Chief Information Officer.

Travel 10–30% in state as required.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree or Technical Certification or higher in facilities management or a related field preferred
Experience:

5 years of experience in facilities operations, building maintenance, or construction support

5 years of overseeing staff or managing teams

Familiarity with building systems and general maintenance practices

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facility management software
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
