Go Store It Management | About Your Position
As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for our self-storage properties. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for real estate finance.
Go Store It Management | Property Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple properties.
- Monitor/analyze GL accounts, adjust journal entries.
- Prepare/record journal entries for revenues, banking activity, monthly accruals and other property activity.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash flow records.
- Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
- Track required payments and ensure items are paid timely,
- i.e. taxes, insurance, debt service, distributions
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Assist with preparation of supporting materials for audit and tax return process, etc.
- Assist with recording of property-related transactions such as purchase/sale or refinancing.
Go Store It | Property Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred
- supplemental work experience accepted
- 2 years of experience in property accounting or related role
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Yardi voyager required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and deadlines.
- Experience performing and prioritizing multiple overlapping tasks
