As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join our accounting team in Santee.

What You'll Do
As part of our Accounts Receivable team, you'll play an important role in maintaining healthy customer accounts and supporting daily business operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage business-to-business accounts receivable
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances
- Receive, post, and reconcile customer payments
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
- Process customer credit applications and vendor credit requests
- Review and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Work closely with accounting, sales, and operations teams
- Deliver professional customer service while maintaining collection goals
Qualifications Required
✔ 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience
✔ Collections experience
✔ Experience posting payments and reconciling accounts
✔ Strong communication and customer service skills
✔ Excellent organizational and time management abilities
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
Preferred
- Construction industry experience
- Equipment rental experience
- Industrial or service company accounting
- Experience handling Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Credit applications or vendor onboarding
- ERP or accounting software experience

Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Starting pay below $27-$30/hour
