An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in Elementary Mild/Moderate needs to support first-grade students in a TAP (autism) classroom. This full-time contract position, located in Vacaville, CA, offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to the unique needs of six first-grade students in an autism-focused (TAP) classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families, therapists, and school staff.
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in ongoing assessment and team meetings.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Teaching Credential is required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a special education setting.
• Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and TAP classroom methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams.
• Commitment to student-centered education and inclusive practices.
