What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at GO PHYSICAL THERAPY LLC?
GO Physical Therapy has a Full-time opening in our administrative accounting department located in Grand Island. This position offers possible flexible schedule with typical Monday - Friday 8am -5pm core hours. This role will support the accounting team and work collaboratively with the administrative office supporting the overall organizational needs. DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Calculate, post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the business.
- Codes such items as invoices, vouchers, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
- Attaches the corresponding purchase orders to incoming invoices with all supporting documentation.
- Investigates and resolves problems with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
- Prepares batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
- Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.
- Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions by applying appropriate accounting standards.
- Process remittance information from checks, drafts and wire transfers for invoices provided by vendors, reviewing instructions accompanying items to determine proper disposition and crediting accounts in accordance with standard procedures.
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or obtaining approval signatures.
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable).
- Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting Department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in an administrative office setting or therapy clinic environment.
- Uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment regularly to perform duties.
- The employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel; and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
- Inside under normal temperature conditions, adequate light, ventilation, and space. Works mostly with others, occasionally alone. Moderate exposure to noise is typical of an office environment.
- Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, body fluids, equipment, and cleaning chemicals minimal with training and strict adherence to established department safety policies and procedures.
