We are seeking experienced, safety-focused professionals to support an upcoming commercial construction project in the Boise, Idaho area.
Position Summary
The Construction Site Safety Representative is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment on an active commercial construction site. This position will work closely with the customer, construction management, other subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
This is a project-based position intended for candidates who reside in or near the Boise, Idaho area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site safety inspections.
- Promote compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform job hazard analyses and identify potential safety risks.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practices.
- Document, report, and Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and inspection records and provide regular reports to the GNB Global Safety Manager.
- Work Closely with the GNB Global Safety Manager, construction management, and field personnel to identify, communicate, and correct safety hazards in a timely manner.
- Support a positive safety culture throughout the project.
- Professionally Represent GNB Global with clients.
- Participate in Site safety meetings per client requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
OSHA 30 Certification (required).
- Minimum 3 years previous commercial construction safety experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on an active construction site.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation.
- Ability to walk construction sites, climb stairs and ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- CHST certification or other safety credentials.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Competent person certification in Fall protection
- Experience with industrial or structural steel construction.
- Experience coordinating subcontractor safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in changing weather conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while on-site.
Additional Information
- Local Boise-area candidates are strongly preferred.
- This position is not eligible for travel pay, per diem, or housing assistance.
- Employment is contingent upon successfully passing all pre-employment screenings, including any required drug testing and background checks.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
