GNB Global Inc. is a growing manufacturing and construction services company specializing in engineered structural steel and tensioned fabric building systems. Our work supports a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across North America. We are looking for a Structural
Engineer to join our team in Rhome, TX and be directly involved in taking projects from concept through fabrication and installation.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys practical, real-world design, collaboration with manufacturing teams, and seeing their work built in the field. This position does not require stamping or sealing drawings, and professional licensure is not required.
What You’ll Do
- Design and analyze structural steel systems for specialty and fabric-supported structures
- Perform calculations for wind, snow, seismic, live, and dead loads in accordance with applicable codes
- Support the design of foundations, anchorage, and connection details
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation
- Review shop drawings and work directly with fabrication teams to ensure constructability
- Partner with project managers, sales, fabrication, and installation teams to support project success
- Provide engineering support during fabrication and installation, including field issue resolution
- Contribute to value engineering and practical, cost-effective design solutions
- Assist with permitting and respond to plan review comments when needed
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Structural Engineering (required)
- 3 years of structural engineering experience preferred
- Experience with structural steel design strongly preferred
- Exposure to specialty structures, fabric systems, or custom steel is a plus
- Experience with structural analysis software (SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, RFEM, or similar)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Familiarity with AISC steel design and ASCE 7 load requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance design with real-world constructability

Working Conditions

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (required).
License/Certification
- PE license not required
- EIT a plus, not required
Willingness to Travel
- Occasional travel (approximately 10–25%)
