Asphalt-Concrete Laborer/Foreman

GMC Contractors Inc. is an established Maryland contractor with over 30 years of experience providing commercial property maintenance services. We are seeking dependable, hardworking Crew Laborers to join our team servicing commercial properties, retail centers, HOAs, and townhome communities throughout the area.

We are especially interested in candidates with hands-on experience in asphalt maintenance, including line striping, sealcoating, and crack filling. Candidates who can safely operate the equipment used for these services are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate line-striping equipment to apply parking lot lines, pavement markings, and related layouts.
• Operate sealcoating equipment and assist with asphalt surface preparation and application.
• Operate crack-fill equipment and apply crack filler to asphalt surfaces.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning, sweeping, masking, and removing debris as needed.
• Assist with commercial property maintenance, exterior cleanup, and other assigned field work.
• Load, unload, clean, and maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles.
• Follow job specifications, work schedules, and all applicable safety procedures.
• Work as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently and maintain GMC's quality standards.
• Assist with seasonal services, including snow removal and ice management, as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating line-striping, sealcoating, and crack-fill equipment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt maintenance methods, materials, and application techniques.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, hardworking, and able to follow instructions.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willingness to work overtime or variable hours when project schedules or seasonal demands require it.
• Ability to work effectively with a crew and take direction from the Crew Leader. What We Offer
