Responsibilities
- Install various types of flooring materials such as carpet, laminate, vinyl plank, and vinyl tile with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret floor plans to execute installations accurately.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors or existing flooring as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and securing flooring materials.
- Perform caulking, trim carpentry, and other tasks as required.
- Loading and unloading heavy materials.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment and manage materials efficiently throughout each project.
Skills
- Proven experience in flooring installation and construction site work.
- Ability to read construction drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, and caulking guns; familiarity with power tools.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques for trim installation.
