Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Crew Leader, Landscaper to join our dynamic outdoor maintenance team. In this role, you will lead a crew responsible for delivering top-quality landscaping, groundskeeping, and hardscaping services. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Duties
- Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers and grounds maintenance staff on daily tasks and long-term projects
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including lawn care, planting, pruning, and groundskeeping
- Manage hardscaping construction projects such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscape features
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and ground care tools
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health of landscapes
- Coordinate irrigation management to optimize watering schedules and troubleshoot irrigation issues
- Enforce safety protocols during outdoor work and operate company vehicles responsibly for project transportation
Requirements
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or groundskeeping with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
- Supervising or team management experience in outdoor or construction environments
- Knowledge of plant identification, tree care, hardscaping construction projects, and irrigation systems
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage crew members effectively and motivate teams
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles for project-related travel
- Construction experience or background in hardscape installation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks and ensure project success
