What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front of House Attendant position at GM Culinary?
We have an immediate need for a Front of House Attendant to help support our amazing client’s culinary operations. It just so happens to be the largest social media company in the world.
The Front of House Attendant will assist the Front of House team in setting up, maintaining and shutting down the cafes for service. Must be able to take direction and work well with in a team environment. Ideal candidate will display enthusiasm and excitement for taking care of guests and will have an eye for detail. This is a fast-paced position and successful candidates will thrive in this type of environment. There is no cash handling and no tips in this role.
Essential Job Functions
- Sets up cafe for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service
- Sets up and breaks down of machines: orange juice, frozen yogurt, margarita machine, etc.
- Ensures food is stocked for our guests/clients at all times
- Follows safety and sanitation guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and the HACCP Coordinator
- Ensures proper presentation of food tasked to front of house
- Ensures front of house areas are clean at all times
- Polishes silverware
- Exhibits friendly and excellent customer service attitude and demeanor at all times
- Heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion, standing, walking, bending/twisting and balance
- Works in environment with varying temperatures
- Stand and work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours a day
- Detect workplace hazards, navigate work areas, follow written directions, and safely operate equipment
- Lift a minimum of 35lbs
- Push and/or move up to 50lbs
- Safely work around hot surfaces, sharp objects and potentially wet and/or slippery floors
- Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility and an essential function of each employee at GM Culinary
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Sweeps as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers and TABC certification for duration of employment
- Minimum of 1 year food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation in the workplace preferred
