PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT INTERN
GLOW RECIPE UNPAID FALL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
- Position: Product Development Intern
- Reports To: Manager, Product Development
- Ideal Start Date: Fall Semester (end of August, early September) or Immediate
- Location: Hybrid, NYC (required to be in office at least 1 day of the week)
- Work Hours (we prefer 2 full days at a minimum)
- 3-4 half days (either morning or afternoons, hours have to be consecutive) or
- 2-3 full days
- Year-round: 9:30 am – 5:30 pm ET
- Summer Fridays (Memorial Day to Labor Day): Monday through Thursday, 9 am - 6 pm ET, Friday, 9 am - 1 pm ET

THE FINE PRINT
We’re seeking motivated self-starters with a passion for beauty and skincare! Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be analytical, and hard-working, have a positive attitude, and be a team player.
We’re looking for an intern. This role will entail supporting the Product Development team in various tasks including doing competitive analysis of products in the market - looking at positioning, claims, pricing, sizing, reviews, etc - as well as building strategic support and communication materials around product innovation launches, organizing product samples in the office, and supporting the team as needs arise with audits, organization, new innovation concepts, pack/formula development, etc.
- Will receive insight and hands-on experience from the Product Development Team on the overall Product Development process and collection/analysis of detailed beauty product competitive data.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Operations, Retail & Content Teams.
- Get hands-on experience in helping create presentation materials, charts, and spreadsheets.
- Work with cross-functional teams on various projects and coordinate deliverables such as product launch dossiers/360 presentations, claims testing, content shoots, new product innovation pipelines, data analysis, etc.
- Participate and support the Product Development Team on ad-hoc projects.
- Candidates must be able to receive credits for the internship program and meet the minimum number of hours required.
- Able to work 3-4 half days (either morning or afternoons, hours have to be consecutive) or 2-3 full days (~9:30 am – 5:30 pm ET).
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
- Candidates must be self-starters and have a passion for marketing, beauty, and skincare
- Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Hard-working, positive team player; flexible when business needs change
