The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Vice President of Marketing & Brand to serve as its Founding Marketer. This individual will play a pivotal role in defining the company's narrative, voice, and go-to-market identity from the ground up. Reporting directly to the executive team, the VP will shape both the emotional story and the strategic positioning of the business as it scales.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior marketing leader who thrives in zero-to-one environments, balances creativity with strategic rigor, and is motivated by true ownership and influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the company's brand strategy, positioning, and narrative
- Develop a compelling market-facing story that resonates with middle-market executives and technical buyers
- Lead foundational marketing initiatives including messaging, website, content, and thought leadership
- Shape early go-to-market strategy in close partnership with product, sales, and executive leadership
- Establish marketing infrastructure, processes, and priorities to support future growth
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on brand, perception, and growth strategy
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10 years of senior marketing experience, ideally within B2B, enterprise software, AI, data, or infrastructure
- Prior experience as an early or founding marketer in a high-growth startup environment
- Proven track record of building and scaling brands from inception or early stage
- Exceptional storyteller with strong strategic instincts and creative judgment
- Comfortable operating hands-on while setting long-term vision
- Experience partnering closely with CEOs, technical founders, and sales leadership

Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
