Overview.
Glocomms is partnered with a leading power and energy firm to support the hiring of a highly skilled OT Systems Administrator to manage and secure critical infrastructure across industrial environments. This role sits at the intersection of IT and Operational Technology (OT), supporting SCADA/ICS systems while ensuring reliability, compliance, and security across enterprise platforms.
The OT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of systems supporting mission-critical industrial operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring system uptime, regulatory compliance and the integrity of infrastructure across both Windows and Linux environments.
- Administer and support OT/ICS infrastructure within critical infrastructure environments.
- Manage Windows Server and Linux systems, including builds, patching, and system hardening.
- Oversee VMware environments and ensure system performance and availability.
- Support NetApp storage operations, including provisioning, replication, and snapshots.
- Execute enterprise backup and recovery, including restore testing and validation.
- Lead patch management and vulnerability remediation using tools like BigFix and Nessus.
- Monitor system health, perform tuning, and support incident response (24/7 on-call).
- Implement and maintain security controls (SIEM/Splunk, endpoint protection, file integrity monitoring).
- Administer Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and enforce IAM/PAM and least privilege access.
- Support NERC CIP compliance, audits, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts.
- 5 years of experience in systems administration within OT, ICS, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to work on-site 5-days a week.
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, and VMware virtualization platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise backup/recovery, patch management, and vulnerability management tools.
- Deep understanding of security practices, including SIEM monitoring, endpoint protection, and system hardening.
- Familiarity with NetApp storage, RTUs, SCADA systems, and industrial protocols.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, IAM/PAM, DNS, and access control frameworks.
- Experience with Splunk, Nessus, BigFix, Tripwire, and AssurX is highly preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Security , MCSA/MCSE, or VCP are a plus.
